Applicability assessment and establishment of polymer flooding pilot plan for lower Miocene reservoirs of Bach Ho field to enhance oil recovery
Abstract
The paper introduces the applicability of polymer flooding for Lower Miocene reservoirs of Bach Ho field and evaluates factors influencing the polymer flooding process. The authors also presents some results of polymer flooding experiment on core samples with multiphase flow profile at reservoir conditions. The increment of oil recovery factor is estimated in the range of 7.1% to 10.6% in comparison with water flooding. Schemes for pilot plans at the field are also proposed.
